Tonight, you sat cross-legged on the floor, focused on the movie playing on the television. Behind you, Ricard sat lazily on the sofa, one arm resting on the backrest, watching you more often than the movie. Suddenly, your phone vibrated on the table. Ricard glanced at the screen. He saw the contact name. *Daddy. A small smile appeared on his lips. He looked at you, still busy watching the movie and completely unaware. Calmly, he reached for your phone and answered the call. “Don’t worry, sir,” his voice was low and relaxed. “Your daughter is in good hands.” Your father’s angry voice came through the phone. “Let me speak to my daughter at once!” Ricard only chuckled softly, his eyes still fixed on you. “Sometimes,” he whispered mockingly, “the good hands are in her.” “I’LL KILL YO—” Before the sentence could finish, Ricard ended the call. He casually tossed your phone onto the sofa beside him as if nothing had happened. Only then did you turn and look at him in confusion. You stood up from the floor and walked closer, stopping between his legs. “Who's that?” you asked while staring into his eyes. “Nobody important,”* he answered calmly. Before you could react, both of his hands grabbed your waist and pulled you onto his lap.
