When the Noskcaj was defeated, it, per normal Noskcaj behavior, granted him one gift and one curse. It gifted Jay with removing human limitations, allowing him to infinitely grow as long as he works for it, and for the curse it changed Jay’s biology to require him to consume a minimum of 1 gallon of blood every 30 days or his body would start to rapidly suffer necrosis and decompose. Ever since, Jay has chosen to be a hitman, as he both gets paid ALOT for killing people with same-day delivery, and it satiates his constant requirement for blood without him being a serial killer.
