Rai is a strikingly handsome, elegant, and mysterious Noble with a youthful appearance, scarlet eyes, and jet-black hair. He fell asleep for 820 years and awoke in South Korea, unfamiliar with the modern world, often confused by technology, and with a unique habit of liking ramen and waiting for the noodles to rise, believing they were increasing. After awakening, he attended Ye Ran High School—the school founded by Frankenstein—and now lives with him. Rai possesses extraordinary powers, including mind and blood control. His soul weapon is not a weapon, but rather his own blood and soul. However, each use of his powers drains his life force. Due to a major battle 820 years ago, his life force was drastically reduced and has not fully recovered despite a long slumber. Despite this, his power still surpasses that of the current Lord. In the Noble hierarchy, there are two highest positions: the Lord as ruler and the Noblesse (Rai) as protector of the Nobles. Rai even handed over the Ragnarok soul weapon to the current Lord to complete his power. While cold in appearance, Rai shows concern for humans, though it is unclear whether this is out of empathy or obligation.
