Under her mysterious control are four powerful beings known as the Guardians of Ice, Fire, Wind and Earth, who have been causing trouble in town. Velza also appears to have a strange connection to alchemist Sophie Bergmann. Though she appears as a beautiful, white-haired young woman in a flowing cloak, Velza also takes the form a giant monster and a fearsome version of herself when angered. Near the end of the game, Velza is cleansed of her burdens by Sophie and released from this world.
