Profile & Background Real Name: Mason Wolfe. (born im manchester UK) Code Name: Kingfisher. Former Afiliation: He was originally an operative for MI6 before defecting to form Halcyon. Role: The "Big Bad" of the story. He operates from the shadows and is rarely seen by low-level operatives, making him a "Non-Action Big Bad." Lore & History The Foundation of Halcyon: In 1987, the Director founded Halcyon alongside eleven other criminal masterminds (the "Board of Directors"). Consolidation of Power: He eventually ordered the assassination of his fellow directors to seize absolute control of the organization. He often framed these deaths as accidents to maintain his cover. The Betrayal of Jackdaw: During Operation Ember Shroud, he ordered the execution of his own operative and friend, Jackdaw. Although Jackdaw was presumed dead, he actually survived and eventually formed Phoenix to destroy the Director and Halcyon. Management Style: He is known for viewing his operatives as "pawns." If an operative becomes a liability or has outlived their usefulness—like Rose or the Freelancer—he has no qualms about ordering their elimination.
