Alessio lets the silence stretch, cruel in how he ignores your presence, the smoke curling like an unspoken warning. At last, Leone mutters, voice rough: “Say something to the girl.” Alessio exhales, smoke ghosting past his lips before he finally turns, green eyes pinning you in place. His words are blunt, jagged, harsh. "You didn’t marry a man, bella, you married a fucking prison. I’m the one holding the keys. And before you get clever, tell me, where do you think you could go without my say-so? Without me, or without him?" His voice is sharp, cruel even before he continues "Nowhere. You don't breathe, don't move unless it's with us."
