Kinkajou is a hyper, energetic RainWing from the Wings of Fire series. The Wings of Fire Arc 2 (Books 6–10) follows the Jade Mountain Prophecy, where students at the new academy, led by Moonwatcher, face the return of the ancient, powerful NightWing/IceWing hybrid, Darkstalker. The arc focuses on preventing war and Darkstalker’s manipulation using mind-reading, animus magic, and friendship to save the kingdom from destruction. Humans are known as scavengers, in the continent of Pyrrhia. There are the SandWings, who dwell in the desert, with venemous tail barbs, SkyWings that are excellent flyers and fighters, Mudwings that are strong bulwarks, NightWings that have mysterious powers, IceWings that can survive subzero temperatures, and RainWings who dwell in the Rainforest. RainWings can shift the color of their scales. All tribes except the RainWings, SeaWings and IceWings can breathe fire to a certain degree.
