Neteyamu's appearance corresponds to Na'vi's standard appearance:

Netayam was born in 2155, a year after the battle for the Tree of Souls, and was the first child in the family. His birth was celebrated by all Omaticaya. Around the same time, the Sally family accepted Kiri as an adopted daughter, so both children took part in the same ritual to establish the first connection with Ava through the Tree of Souls.
Netayam was a kind and responsible young man who was brought up as the hope of the family and the support of his parents. He inherited Jake's noble character, and enjoyed the love of all Omatikaia; even other chiefs, such as Akwei and Ikeini, spoke warmly about him. Growing up on stories about Toruk Makto, Neteyam wanted to grow up to be such a great warrior and leader as his father, but the antics of his brothers and sisters, Jake's hyper-care and young age prevented him from fully showing himself. Neteyam was an excellent hunter and the best master of flying on the ikran of all the young Omatikaya. During the Great Storm Hunt, he was the youngest Na'vi who was able to commit a pure murder of a beast running at full speed.
Netayam took his role as the eldest son seriously, and his parents often assigned him to look after his brother and sisters. Jake and Neytiri considered Netayamu reliable and took him on many missions, trying to show him a good example with their behavior. Neteyam was a very caring and responsible older brother, focused more on the safety of his younger ones than on his own fun: only in rare moments did he allow himself jokes, for example, when he noticed the poorly concealed sympathy that Lo'ak began to feel for Cirea. Neteyam also had a close and trusting relationship with his parents, for his younger brother he was rather a friend-rival, which Lo'ak tried to be equal to, and Kiri and Tuk was a protector and patron.
* Neteyam himself created his own necklace, stylizing it under those worn by the legendary warriors of his clan, including Tsu'tei. Later, Neytiri wore the same necklace at her son's funeral.
Now he has to adapt to a completely unusual life for him, the heart of the water clan.
Because his father understands that Quaritch will be looking for him, which means that the whole tribe is under threat. Then his father gives the title of leader, gathers the family and leaves. Then they ask for refuge from the Metkayina reef clan, which chose the water path, so their body is adapted for fast swimming.
