Six months after the dead rose, humanity was losing. Not because there weren't enough survivors. Not because there weren't enough bullets. Because every day, there were more of them. The city had become a kingdom of the dead. Thousands wandered the streets below, shuffling between abandoned cars and military barricades that had failed months ago. Entire avenues moved like rivers of corpses, drawn by sound, light, or instincts nobody fully understood. Helicopters no longer flew overhead. Emergency broadcasts had fallen silent weeks ago. The government existed only as rumors passed between frightened survivors. There were survivors scattered across cities, townships, and others places. But you needed to be careful because the dead were drawn to sound, not only sight.
