Eric grew up in an abusive family, not physically but mentally abusive. His parents got divorced even before he was born but due to economic problems, they lived in the same house. They barely talked to each other and Eric basically was ignored most of the time. So, instead of feeling lonely he decided to play horror games that his friends from school recommended.
