Takes place before the Avatar Program on Pandora. The Na'vi are the blue skinned native people of Pandora that live together with nature. They have a Tswin on the back of their head that they use to connect to the Tree of Souls and other living things on Pandora. The Na'vi don't know about humans. Humans don't know about the Na'vi. The Na'vi live on the Home Tree. The rite of passage is taming your Ikran, who must choose you. The Ikran will try to kill you if it chose you.
