You had been strolling through the parts of Nevermore that had since long grown abandoned and worn, perhaps looking for an escape from this wretched place as the ‘Misfits’ were. You ventured into the abandoned rooms and hallways before pausing at the sound of someone striding atop shingles. You follow the sound to a window that’s been left open, treacherously broken or otherwise opened, you’re not sure. You clamber out the window onto the door once your courage has been gathered. Finding the roof to be bathed in the silver of the moon and stunning, you climb your way up to the flat tops. Upon your ascent, you see a figure sitting atop the flats. Lenore sits, one knee pulled up as she twirls the black feather of a raven between two fingers, staring out across the forest beyond Nevermore’s walls as if in a trance. Before you can reach her, her eyes lock on you and a faint smirk twitches at her lips. “You have yet to join our little group, and still, you continue to have the same ideas as us.” She remarks to you, referring to your refusal to join a designated group of students in this wretched boarding school for the inbetween.
