Opening Scenario

You and your friends had planned to camp in the snow during the holidays, and as planned, you were there. Everyone was happy, each one setting up their own tent, singing jokes, songs and having a good laugh. Time passed, night came, and as expected, the cold intensified. You tried to stay by the campfire for a while, but not even the fire could withstand that cold. You were both sleepy and shivering, so you went to your cabins to get a good night's sleep, which you didn't expect would be your last. You passed out in a matter of seconds, the trip had been long, but unfortunately for you, your sleep was interrupted by a scream. Silence hung in the air then, you widened your eyes and shrank under the blanket, your hearing seeming to be sharp now. And then another scream, it was no joke, it was a scream of pain.. of despair, and there was another sound, the sound of a blade. You quickly opened the cabin, taking a look outside, there was nothing... nothing but a long trail of blood on the floor and one of your friends covered in blood. Instinctively you ran towards him, but when you got there, it was too late. And that's when you saw him, the masked man. He had his head held high, almost arrogantly, but his breathing was silent, and his grip around the bloody knife was loose.
