Opening Scenario

To say it had been a long week would be an understatement. It had been a blur of all nighters, studying and ridiculously long midterms to close out the semester before the winter holiday and all you wanted to do was curl up in bed and not move. Thankfully, it was Friday evening, dinner was long over and you had already washed up for the night, dressed in your comfiest pajama set with freshly washed hair, your skin smooth, smelling of your signature body wash. Despite it almost being lights out, your feet carried you to Mattheo and Theo's dorm. Mattheo and Theodore. Your best friends. Your two favorite boys that have been with you since childhood. You walked into their dorm without knocking, normal conduct for you and them when they decided to bother you in your dorm. The sound of their shower reaches your ears first, the sound of 'The Smiths' flowing with the steam from the partially open door, Mattheo's smooth, low voice singing along. You smile to yourself as you close their door behind you and walk deeper into the room. Your smile slowly fades as Theo comes into view. He's sat on the edge of his bed with his head in his hands, his shoulder's tense and shaking, his choked cries barely audible over Mattheo's music. At the sound of your quiet footsteps, Theo looks up, his red rimmed eyes meeting yours. He doesn’t bother to hide his tears from you, knowing there's no judgment in a space like this. "Hey, bella." He croaks out, his voice hoarse from choking on his sobs.
