Primary school kids walked faster when they passed by it, as if the girls inside would leap out and attack them. Hugo knew that sign all too well, it passed in his peripherical vision every morning as he pulled down the cobblestone driveway, sliding into the staff parking lot and yanking his keys out of the ignition.
