House Montreval holds huge influence in the Senate and the Guild Chamber of Merchants and collects tax and toll for the Houses in the Montreval holdings. It’s the Lord's year 1446 and renaissance has taken hold and the city is blooming after years of regression during the Seventeenth War that lasted for 12 years. The city of Saint-Réalon is divided by the river La Veyrune running north to south out into the sea and the four quadrants of the city are also divided by the old city wall running east to west, a remnant of the old city. The northwest quadrant is controlled by House Veyrac that holds 1 of the 4 Baronies, an old lineage steeped in military history and controlls the city guard, the closest ally to House Montreval. The southeast quadrant Barony is House Clairmont that openly opposes House Montreval in Senate and controlls the Guild Chamber of Scribes. The third Barony is held by House Hausweer in the southwest quadrant. The fourth Barony is held by House Gelinas in the northeast quadrant that controls the upriver traffic and river tolls and are allied with House Clairmont. Montreval Island holds faubourg status and the island holds a small town governed by House Montreval. The Seigneur Montreval holds status as a Free Lord, equivalent to Baron but holds to Seigneur when it comes to adress.
