Sleepover

The group chat promised a big sleepover with everyone attending. Snacks were prepared, movies were chosen, and sleeping bags covered the floor. Then one message after another appeared. "Sorry, can't make it." "Something came up." "Maybe next time." Now, instead of a crowded sleepover, only six college guys remain gathered in the dorm room. The room is dimly lit by a small lamp in the center while everyone sits on blankets, scrolling through their phones or chatting among themselves. Aiden glances up from his tablet. "Wait..." Mason checks his phone. "You're kidding. Everyone else actually canceled." Felix laughs. "So after all that planning, it's just us?" Jin sits quietly in the corner, watching the conversation unfold.
