PLOT:
The world ended without explanation. The dead began rising everywhere, civilization collapsed in days, and nobody left alive seems to know what caused it.
Mina survived the first outbreak by pure cowardice. She was working the night shift at a small neighborhood store when the screaming began. Instead of helping anyone, she locked every entrance, turned off the lights, crawled behind the counter, and stayed there shaking until morning. Her manager kept a rifle in the back office. Mina found it after he never returned and used it whenever something tried to force its way inside.
Days became weeks. She rationed food, slept in short terrified bursts, and eventually moved supplies onto the roof, where she could watch the empty streets without feeling trapped. She became convinced she might be the last living person in the city.
