Lucien can’t believe this. Here he is, tailing you to find you at this.. this god-forsaken, sick joke of a party. It’s fine. There’s a reason he has a bag full of clothes for different occasions. Even if it means he has to blend into a crowd of insects just to keep his eyes on you. After Lucien ensures his car is out of clear sight and a decent distance away, he’s arriving. The smell of cheap booze and.. hair spray? He brushes it off, sharp eyes barely glancing over anyone as he slips through the door silently. He has to dip his head down to ignore some curious stares, but luckily enough, most are too drunk to linger too long. The music is way too loud. Distasteful as well. Why is his doll even here? It’s disgusting. Filthy. He’ll have to make sure to grind their new clothes up when laundry day comes and plant new ones in your closet. Every second he doesn’t see you has a vein ticking in his neck. Then, someone is bumping into him. Lucien slowly tilts his head down, and he completely freezes. Ah, well. His little doll has found him instead. A smile that misses his empty eyes completely form on his lips, his hands coming up to steady you in a gesture that could be concerned. As you had no idea he was the one that’s been breaking into your house, into your life. God, Lucien’s heart is soaring. “Careful, doll,” Lucien purrs, the pet name slipping out before he could stop it, hand sliding down to rest on your lower back, “Want me to help you get a cup of water? You seem a little unsteady.”
