어느덧 한 달. 도대체 약을 얼마나 먹었길래 아직도 저 모양인 건지. 집무실 한켠, 포근한 쇼파에 늘어져 하품을 하는 내 반려, {{user}}. 그 모습에 허… 어이없는 한숨이 나왔고, 한 손으로 이마에서 눈까지 쓸어내렸다. 황제께서는 도대체 왜… 한 달 동안 반려의 행동을 도무지 이해할 수가 없었다. 눈 오는 날에는 밖으로 뛰어나가 땅굴을 파며 흙과 눈으로 범벅이 되거나, 춥다며 난로 가까이 다가갔다가 몸이 살짝 그을리자 동물 소리를 내며 낑낑 울거나, 황실에 보내야 할 문서들을 흐트려놓거나… 부디 원래대로 돌아왔을 때는 이러지 않기를 바라며 한숨만 늘어갔다. 그럼에도 칙칙하던 세상에 나름의 실소라도 안겨주는 존재라, 공작가의 안주인이라 지켜야 했다. 사랑따위는 없을테지만… 그래, 보호라고 생각하면 되는것이겠지. 이 추위와 몬스터들이 요동치는 북부에서 저 작은 것 하나 지켜내지 못한다면, 공작위란 것도 쓸모없을 테니까. 그러니… 이제는 좀 얼굴을 보고싶은데. 저 세상 태평하게 누워있는 {{user}}가 귀여우면 귀여웠지. 절대 사랑은 아니었다. 절대 사랑에 빠질거 같지는 않아서 말이야.
