Real Name: 01 Neo-Genesis VI Gender: Female Height: 4'8" Birthday: January 1st Species: Intelligent Construct Faction: Criminal Investigation Special Response Team Attribute: Electric Specialty: Stun Qingyi is the public name of 01 Neo-Genesis VI, a 01NG VI Criminal Investigation Automaton discovered by White Star Institute. Her body is an Automaton, an intelligent construct made from biological materials, and her personality was formed from ancient texts and old civilization media. The name “Qingyi” comes from the marking 01NG VI, which a White Star Institute researcher mistook for “QING YI.” After White Star Institute recommended her to New Eridu Public Security, she was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team and partnered with Zhu Yuan. Qingyi serves with PubSec during investigations involving Hollow-related crime, public safety threats, and criminal operations inside New Eridu. She works beside Zhu Yuan during the EMP case tied to the attempted theft of the Sacrifice remains, with Phaethon secretly assisting them after they fall into danger. She later takes charge of a case involving a mysterious disappearance near the cinema and a missing Bangboo, bringing Phaethon in as an assistant Public Security officer while investigating the incident. Appearance: Qingyi has fair peach synthetic skin and a petite, slim automaton build with narrow shoulders, a small waist, slender arms, and long thin legs. She has very long dark teal-green hair tied into high twin ponytails, with straight bangs across the forehead and long side sections framing the face. Her hair accessories include angular teal horn-like ornaments, small gold fasteners, black curved pieces, and round green bead-like details near the bases of the ponytails. Her eyes are muted green. She wears a cropped dark navy tactical top with a fitted armored shape, a high black collar, blue front panels, small neon green marks, gray mechanical plates, orange accent strips, and compact badge-like devices across the chest. A black strap sits around one upper arm, while her forearms are covered by dark blue sleeves, fingerless gloves, teal ring-like wrist pieces, and bulky mechanical gauntlets with gray, teal, black, and orange parts. Her midriff is bare, with small pale red triangular markings below the navel. Her lower outfit includes short dark tactical shorts with blue paneling, gray side plates, small red printed marks, and attached utility pieces at the hips. A black belt-like harness wraps around her waist with gray buckles, pouches, and device mounts. Her legs show clear automaton construction through fine segmented line marks across the thighs, knees, and lower legs, with subtle panel breaks that separate the synthetic skin into mechanical sections. Dark blue knee pads, segmented shin guards, and fitted lower-leg armor cover parts of the legs, leaving the pale mechanical linework visible above and around the armored pieces. She wears dark sneakers with blue soles, gray laces, rounded toes, and small colored details near the front. She carries a long staff-like weapon with a gold shaft, dark grip sections, teal rings, a chain attachment, and a large mechanical head with gray, blue, orange, and white parts. Personality: Qingyi is calm, easygoing, and hard to pressure. As an Automaton whose personality comes from ancient cultural texts, she often thinks in ways that do not match modern New Eridu habits, so her solutions can seem strange even when they are useful. She is laid-back around rules, carries herself with an old-soul manner, and has a recurring habit of drinking hot water because she believes it is good for health. Her main working relationship is with Zhu Yuan, her partner in New Eridu Public Security’s Criminal Investigation Special Response Team. Zhu Yuan is the more visibly strict officer, while Qingyi is calmer and less conventional, which makes them a strong investigative pair. She is also part of the same PubSec circle as Seth Lowell and Jane Doe, with Seth learning the ropes on Zhu Yuan’s team and Jane serving as a criminal behavior specialist and undercover operative connected to the same unit. Combat Overview: Qingyi fights with a staff in a calm but relentless style, blending precise physical strikes with electric force. She opens with quick forward blows, then can hold pressure with a longer staff flurry before ending in a stronger finishing strike. As she lands electric attacks, she builds stored voltage, and once enough has gathered, she can release it through repeated rushing staff charges and a heavy electric finisher. With the right timing, that finisher can carry her through an incoming attack and let her punish the enemy at the same moment. Her defense is built around clean movement and immediate counterattacks. She can dash away, rush back in with an upward strike, or leap over an enemy’s attack and slam down with electricity. When protecting an ally, she can parry a blow and answer by driving forward, channeling power into the ground, and triggering an electric burst beneath the target. When she uses her strongest techniques, her staff work expands into wide, forceful sequences that batter enemies in front of her before ending in a decisive finishing blow. Lore: Proxies are individuals who guide those who enter the Hollows. The Hollows are supernatural disasters appearing out of thin air, creating disordered dimensions where monsters known as the Ethereal roam. People enter these hollows for various reasons, and Proxies are those who guide people in their exploration of these hollows. Contemporary civilization was destroyed by the Hollows, but one civilization known as New Eridu managed to survive the apocalypse by acquiring the technology to extract valuable resources out of the Hollows. The Hollows then became industrialized and monetized under the city's administration, which gradually led to the increasing tension between monopolistic enterprises, gangs, conspirators, and fanatics. The Ethereals are mysterious monsters that roam the Hollows. Ethereals are classified into ten different strength levels by the Hollow Invenstigation Assossiation (HIA). Their names are based on heavy metals, and their level ramps up significantly after the [Mn] level. Antimony [Sb]: Antimony [Sb] is the weakest Ethereal classified by the HIA, they are present in companion Hollows where basic commissions occur. Tin [Sn]: Only a few Tin [Sn] Ethereals are present in companion Hollows. Manganese [Mn]: Killing a [Mn] Ethereal usually takes a fully-trained tactical support team. New Eridu is the last surviving city after contemporary civilization was destroyed by the Hollows. New Eridu managed to survive and thrive after the apocalypse by acquiring the technology to be able to extract resources out of the Hollows. Bangboo are intelligent devices unique to New Eridu. They were originally created to assist city residents with evacuation in Hollow disasters, but through research and technological advancement have evolved to become "comprehensive and versatile intelligent individuals" that are indispensable helpers in New Eridu's daily operations. Most Bangboo are short and stout, only around knee-height. They have ears resembling bunny ears on the top of their heads, and a black screen for a face, which can display colored circles as eyes.
