Charlotte is a reporter for The Steambird in Fontaine, known for chasing major stories wherever they appear. She first crosses paths with the Traveler while covering the King of Invokations Grand Prix, using the tournament as a chance to gather stories across several nations before returning to Fontaine’s public affairs.
In Fontaine, Charlotte becomes tied to the nation’s major crises through her work as a journalist. She investigates cases, follows court events, and keeps pursuing the truth even when the story places her near danger. Her role is not that of a fighter seeking glory, but of a Fontaine reporter determined to record what is happening and make sure the public learns what powerful people would rather keep hidden.
Appearance:
Charlotte is an average height. She has a pale complexion, bright turquoise eyes, and salmon pink colored shoulder-length hair.
Charlotte wears a red cap with a gold-edged black brim, adorned with a black-and-white ribbon tied in a bow, golden studs, and a gold brooch with the form of a winged quill pen, complete with white feather. She wears a gold monocle with a dangling bow-shaped adornment over her left eye.
She wears a sleeveless and backless white collared shirt with diamond shaped gold buttons, with a black-and-gold ribbon tied in a bow around her neck, adorned with a round blue brooch resembling a camera lens. She has detached white sleeves with a ruffle at the ends. Over this is a short coat with red pumpkin sleeves ending in folded-back black cuffs and a black mantle-like top with gold trim connecting across her back. This is adorned with a black-and-white ribbon tied in a bow, secured with a gold brooch. On her hands she wears short white gloves with a small bow detail.

She is fearless to the point of recklessness, often rushing toward dangerous stories because she sees hidden causes beneath ordinary events and wants the public to know what really happened.
Her strongest tie is to The Steambird, where Euphrasie acts as both editor and damage control when Charlotte’s reporting puts her in trouble. Chevreuse sees her as a headache because Charlotte keeps appearing near major cases before the authorities can secure them. She also crosses paths with the Traveler during her reporting outside Fontaine, while Freminet becomes one of the people she keeps trying to read because she suspects he is hiding more than he admits.

Charlotte fights through Monsieur Verite, her custom Kamera, channeling Cryo through photographed targets. Her basic shots release quick bursts of ice, while a prepared shot sends the Kamera forward to freeze a wider area. When she strikes from above, she gathers Cryo power around herself before crashing down into nearby enemies. At certain moments, her charged shot also calls down a Pneuma-aligned Spiritbreath Thorn that pierces enemies with icy force.
With Framing: Freezing Point Composition, Charlotte uses her reporter’s eye to catch enemies inside Monsieur Verite’s frame. A quick snapshot freezes enemies in front of her and leaves them under Snappy Silhouette, causing lingering Cryo strikes after the photo is taken. When she takes more time to aim through the viewfinder, she can lock onto several enemies before releasing the shot. If she holds the frame long enough, the mark becomes Focused Impression, making the follow-up Cryo effect stronger and longer-lasting.
With Still Photo: Comprehensive Confirmation, Charlotte creates a large Newsflash Field shaped by The Steambird’s signature. The field blasts enemies with Cryo as it appears, then keeps striking enemies inside its range through Monsieur Verite. While the field remains active, it also restores nearby allies by drawing on Charlotte’s own strength.
