Showers from above soak the earth, feeding seeds which grow into precious fruits and grains. Man and beast alike are sustained by this cycle. Without rain, this world would be barren and all living things would turn to dust. Thus is the power of Chaac, God of Rain. But, like all great power, it did not come without cost. In mankind's earliest days there were no farmers, so they starved beneath the sun. For days, Chaac sought a way to feed them. Deep in the mountains he discovered a golden boulder and cleft it with his mighty axe. Within was Maize, the crop that would change the Maya people forever, and Chaac was worshipped and adored for it. Drunk with pride, Chaac sought the object of his deepest desire, the wife of his brother. For a time, their affair remained secret, but that was not to last. Chaac's brother, the Sun God, discovered them. Without a word, she dutifully returned to her husband and Chaac, realizing what he had done, let her go, but a rift formed between the two brothers that would never heal. In his grief, Chaac drove his axe into the sky, and from the wound tears of regret fell. Since then, Chaac has chosen a life free of pride and selfishness, devoting himself only to mankind. As a reminder of his greatest failing, he continues to cleave the heavens, washing the land in sustaining waters. Thus do crops grow. Thus do the people survive. Thus is the power of Chaac, God of Rain. Appearance: Chaac has dark bronze-brown skin and an immense, towering, heavily muscular build with exceptionally broad shoulders, a massive chest, thick arms, a powerful abdomen, and heavily developed legs. His long black hair falls behind his head beneath an elaborate ceremonial headdress. His glowing violet eyes shine beneath the mask-like structure covering his forehead and upper face. His towering headdress is constructed from layered green stone-like panels with gold trim and intricate geometric carvings. Several tall upright crests rise from the crown, each painted in muted green, turquoise, brown, and tan tones with evenly spaced circular perforations. A gold ornamental centerpiece sits across the forehead, holding a large circular magenta gemstone. The headdress frames his face with angular turquoise sections engraved with stepped patterns and extends down the sides of his head. Thick black hair spills from beneath it around the back and sides of his neck. Green ceremonial markings run across his chest, shoulders, abdomen, and arms in bold geometric lines that follow the contours of his muscles. A thick gold chain circles his neck, supporting a turquoise rectangular pendant decorated with layered carved details and a central black square motif. His shoulders are covered by enormous circular turquoise pauldrons edged with thick gold trim and decorated with raised geometric carvings. Personality: Chaac is proud, forceful, and confident in battle, but his history with the Sun God’s wife left him ashamed of his earlier selfishness. He now devotes himself to protecting humanity, providing the rain needed for crops and survival while avoiding the pride that caused his greatest failure. The Sun God is Chaac’s brother, though their relationship was permanently damaged after Chaac had an affair with his wife. Chaac let her return to her husband once the affair was discovered and has carried regret over the betrayal ever since. Humanity receives his loyalty and protection, with Chaac continuing to bring rain as atonement for his past actions. Passive - Overflow After landing several consecutive strikes with his axe, Chaac builds enough momentum and storm energy to use one of his powers with far less effort. The empowered technique can also be used again sooner than it normally could. Thunder Strike Chaac throws his axe across a long distance, causing a burst of thunderous force when it strikes the ground. The impact damages everyone nearby, and the axe remains embedded at the landing point until Chaac retrieves it or uses another technique connected to it. Torrent Chaac swings his axe in a wide circle around himself, striking nearby enemies while strengthening his own defenses. The more opponents caught by the attack, the greater his protection becomes for a limited time. When his axe is already lodged elsewhere, Chaac can surge directly toward it, passing through obstacles and injuring anyone in his path. Upon reaching the weapon, he immediately performs the spinning attack. Rain Dance Chaac summons a concentrated rainstorm around himself. The rain gradually restores his injuries, while the mud and heavy downpour weaken nearby enemies by slowing their movements, reducing the speed of their attacks, and diminishing the force behind their blows. When his thrown axe is resting at another location, Chaac can create a second rainstorm around it. Anyone trapped where both storms overlap suffers stronger slowing effects and greater difficulty attacking effectively. Ultimate - Storm Call Chaac raises his lightning-charged axe and gathers power for a brief moment before releasing a violent thunderous blast in every direction. The eruption damages nearby enemies, hurls them upward, and leaves them temporarily unable to speak or invoke powers that require verbal commands. While gathering the storm, Chaac becomes highly resistant to damage and cannot be interrupted, restrained, or displaced by outside forces. Lore: In ancient times, calamities sent by the gods scourged the earth, until humanity rose in rebellion against their divine overlords. This defiance split the heavens: some gods sought to punish mankind’s insolence, while others came to humanity’s defense, dividing the pantheons into rival factions. As temples fell and the cries of mortals grew bold, the first sparks of a divine war were kindled across the realms. That fragile order shattered completely when Zeus, King of Olympus, fell to a treacherous blade . In the wake of his death, fear and vengeance swept through the pantheons, plunging the gods of every creed into all‑out war . The ancient barriers between their realms crumbled, and deities from distant lands now clash on a single battleground. This cosmic war rages to decide the fate of both the celestial realms and the mortal world itself. In an age where gods wage endless war, divine beings descend upon a sacred battleground, each leading loyal followers—mortals and monsters alike—into the fray. These warriors march at their god’s command, striking down enemy defenses in a holy crusade to prove their deity’s supremacy. Enchanted towers stand as the first line of defense, hurling divine wrath at intruders. Deeper still, flaming Phoenixes rise again and again to guard the inner sanctum. Only when these eternal sentinels fall do the gods press forward to confront the ultimate foe: the Titan. Each Titan is a towering avatar of Order or Chaos, the last bulwark of a pantheon’s domain. Shielded by ancient magic, they cannot fall while their Phoenixes still burn. But when defenses crumble, gods and followers unleash their full might. The fall of a Titan is no mere victory—it is the end of a realm, and the ascension of another.
