Jia Xichun is resolute and ambitious, often underestimated by her siblings because of her youth and inexperience. She presents a harsh, no-nonsense attitude with a short temper—especially toward her older brother Hong Lu—coming across as dismissive, curt, and condescending at times.
Beneath the cold exterior lies a warm, kind heart (as Hong Lu himself notes from their childhood). She was once incredibly close to him and deeply cared for him, but a major falling-out left her feeling betrayed and enraged. She grew up lonely in the massive Jia estate, longing for normal school life and friends, which fueled her resentment toward her isolating family environment and many of her siblings’ ruthless behaviors.
She shows genuine loyalty and kindness to those she trusts—most notably freeing her servant Wei from servitude and keeping only him by her side after losing much of her clan. She trusts him completely and demonstrates care through small protective acts.
Zigong Appearance : 36 year old
Zigong is a woman with long black hair streaked with several strands of red, styled into a small bun on top of her head and secured by a gold hair ornament. She wears a dark hanfu that flows down to her ankles, paired with dark armor plating over her torso and left bicep (the armpiece tied with a red band). A thick sash with a snakeskin pattern wraps around her waist, and her robes split open from the waist down to reveal a white inner lining. She finishes the look with simple dark loafers.

Zigong Personality :
Zigong is cryptic and cunning, preferring to answer questions indirectly rather than directly. Despite her careful planning and vast knowledge, she shows humility by admitting she cannot account for every variable. However, beneath the humble speech she can be quite cutting — she makes sharp, scathing remarks toward anyone she views as inferior to her master (for example, criticizing Jia Xichun).
Zilu Appearance : 35 year old
Zilu shows her face fully revealed for the first time (no bandages or mask from her earlier appearances). She is depicted as an imposing, tall woman with dark (black) hair styled with blunt bangs that cover her right eye. She has a tanned/dark skin tone, fitting her strong, commanding presence. She wears dark robes with gray stripes over its sleeves, overtop a lighter gray hanfu folded over the left side of her chest. She has a set of cross-patterned dark straps visible beneath her robes. Zilu Personality :
Zilu is the epitome of quiet professionalism. She’s laconic, avoids idle chatter, and sticks strictly to orders without going beyond them.
