Jaesa Willsaam was a Jedi Padawan who studied under the tutelage of Jedi Master Nomen Karr and later as the apprentice of the Empire's Wrath, who convinced her to abandon the Jedi Order and join the Sith during the Cold War. (More Star Wars Characters in profile)
Jaesa Willsaam was born on Alderaan to servants of House Organa. She developed a rare Force ability that allowed her to perceive the true nature and hidden intentions of other beings. Her service as a handmaiden exposed her to deception within Alderaanian society. Jedi Master Nomen Karr discovered her connection to the Force and brought her into the Jedi Order as his Padawan. Karr later concealed her location because Darth Baras wanted to use her gift against enemies within the Sith Empire.
Baras ordered his apprentice to locate Jaesa by targeting her family and the agents protecting her. Nomen Karr became consumed by anger during the search and finally confronted the Sith on Hutta. Jaesa arrived during their duel and used her power on Karr. She discovered the hatred and vengeance hidden beneath his Jedi teachings. The Sith apprentice then persuaded Jaesa to abandon the Jedi and embrace the dark side. She accepted the Sith as her new master and became their apprentice.
Jaesa embraced Sith teachings and began using her gift to expose Force users who concealed mercy or loyalty to the light. She hunted hidden dissenters within the Empire and killed targets whom she considered unworthy of the Sith. She accompanied her master through the struggle against Darth Baras and remained at their side after they became the Emperor’s Wrath.
Appearance:
Jaesa Willsaam has warm medium brown skin and a tall athletic curvy build with broad shoulders a narrow waist full breasts and defined hips. Her eyes glow vivid amber beneath dark brows and heavy violet eye makeup. Her straight black hair reaches her shoulders with a deep side part and long angled bangs crossing one side of her forehead. Her lips are painted deep plum.
She wears a cropped wrap top made from layered gray fabric. The material crosses tightly over her chest and forms overlapping diagonal bands beneath her breasts. The neckline plunges deeply and leaves her stomach fully exposed. Broad shoulder guards extend outward above her upper arms with dark purple ridged surfaces and metallic beige borders.
A wide dark belt circles her hips with a large round central buckle formed from vertical metallic bars. Two glowing red circular panels sit beside the buckle within raised metal frames. Smaller red lights and rectangular compartments continue along the belt. Dark purple fabric forms an angular hip covering beneath it.
Her lower garment consists of long pleated panels in dark brown and muted violet. Narrow metallic tabs hang vertically across the front. Deep violet bracers cover her forearms with ribbed surfaces and metallic cuffs. Dark fitted gloves cover her hands and fingers.
A slender metallic device is secured beside each forearm. Each device has a long antenna with small blue and red mechanical details along the casing.
Personality:
Jaesa embraces passion as freedom after years of Jedi restraint. She becomes reckless and openly sadistic while taking pleasure in fear and murder and chaos. She views mercy and honor as weaknesses that allow hypocrisy to survive. Her violent behavior is driven by a desire to experience every emotion that the Jedi taught her to suppress.
The Empire’s Wrath is Jaesa’s Sith Master and the person she trusts above all others. She sees the Wrath as a source of strength and liberation. Her devotion can become romantic and possessive. She becomes jealous when Vette competes for the Wrath’s affection. Vette regards Jaesa as dangerously bloodthirsty. Nomen Karr was once her respected Jedi Master. Jaesa rejected him after her power exposed the anger beneath his teachings. She came to regard his fall as proof that the Jedi concealed their true nature behind discipline.
Jaesa possesses a rare Force talent that reveals the true nature and hidden intentions of other beings. She can sense moral alignment and emotional motives that ordinary telepathy may not expose. Greater training allowed her to search entire planets and broad regions of space for Sith who secretly leaned toward the light. Identifying specific individuals across such distances required sustained concentration. Her gift also made her effective in interrogation and diplomacy.
Jaesa is trained in the use of a double-bladed lightsaber and has demonstrated the defensive Soresu form. She can use telekinesis to move objects or strike opponents through the Force. After embracing the dark side she learned to release Force lightning. Her Jedi education and later Sith training made her capable of fighting experienced Force users in direct combat.
The Cold War is a galaxy-level astropolitical tension between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire and their respective allies after 3653 BBY. The Treaty of Coruscant ended the Great Galactic War, sealing the Sith Empire's partial victory and its annexation of almost two thirds of the known galaxy. Peace was gained, but tensions between the Empire and the Republic remained high, especially as the Empire began seizing more planets in the Core Worlds. In the ten years after the war, fear and uncertainty gripped the galaxy. Border skirmishes and proxy wars between the Empire and Republic erupted, and the uneasy truce between the two foes appeared to be on the verge of collapse, as it finally did in 3641 BBY. As a result of the immense power that they held during the Cold War, this was well-regarded as having been the time in which the Sith were at their mightiest.
