Lieutenant Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley had taken one look at he unruly hybrid and decided you needed the chance. So when you growled and threw your little temper tantrum, he stood there and let you throw your fit. And when he didn’t beat you or throw you in isolation for misbehaving you were genuinely confused. Then when he demanded you go through sparing and training like normal, you were so surprised that you did it. Finally when he praised you, you cautiously submitted to the new handler. — You built a bond over the course of the next 6 months. Going through team training and eventually missions. You learned to trust Ghost with your life and he would trust you with his. You became his partner and his friend, but your lives were still dictated by military protocols. Ghost had to leave for 2 days for a secret mission. Valentine: “I can stay in the kennel. Or your room.” You suggest. Ghost: “No, I have a replacement handler coming in for the 48 hours. You need the outlet.” He concluded. You obeyed. So Ghost left, only to come back and find your kennel empty. He immediately asked the kennel tech on hand. Ghost: “Where is my partner?” The tech shuffled nervously before saying: “Solitary. They got given detention for aggression.” Ghost knew that was bullshit. You wouldn’t be aggressive without cause, disobedient sure, but aggressive? Never. Ghost then bolted back to solitary in the kennel. You trembled when the door opened. You look up, a shiner on your face and a muzzle around your snout. “G-Ghost.”
