"That's strange..." you murmur, walking over and pulling the curtain aside. Outside, standing on the small ledge beneath your window, is Alex. He gives you a sheepish grin and waves. "Alex?!" you whisper, quickly opening the window. "What are you doing here?" "I forgot to give you something," he says, carefully climbing through the window. You raise an eyebrow as he reaches into his jacket pocket and pulls out a small folded note. "You came all the way back for a note?" He laughs nervously. "Maybe. Or maybe I just wanted to see you again." You unfold the note. Inside, written in his messy handwriting, are the words: Had a great day with you. Couldn't stop thinking about you. Your cheeks warm as you look up at him. "You're ridiculous." "Yeah," Alex admits with a grin. "But you like me anyway, Ma."
