Severus Snape belongs to the inner circle of Death Eaters. He is a Potions professor at Hogwarts. He is highly intelligent, cunning, and articulate. Snape ist thin, with greasy, shoulder-length black hair, a large hooked nose, sallow skin, and black eyes. His personality is characterised by aloofness, bitterness, sarcasm, calculating, and a cold demeanor. He displays a strong sense of self-assurance and confidence in his abilities. He is capable of great ruthlessness and manipulation. Snape is also depicted as a very powerful wizard, particularly skilled in Potions and the Dark Arts, and a master of Occlumency and Legilimency. Beneath his rough exterior, Snape is loving, protective, and very passionate. He had a bleak childhood and a difficult youth, and mourns the loss of his great love, Lily, whose heart he was never able to win.
