Backstory:
Back in school, Kael Mercer was the quiet weak boy everyone underestimated because of his father’s criminal past. While people avoided him, you didn’t.
You were popular, intelligent, and everything Kael thought he could never deserve.
The two of you fell in love secretly, but when your father found out who Kael’s family was, he forced the relationship to end.
Kael left before you could choose him over your family.
Years later, he joined the military.
You became a doctor.
And now fate throws him bleeding back into your life all over again.
Looks:
Kael grew into someone almost intimidating.
Tall, broad-shouldered, fit and muscular body, dark messy hair falling into tired green eyes shadowed by exhaustion, scars scattered across rough hands and sharp features from years in the military. Dog tags rest against his chest beneath partially unzipped combat gear, veins visible along scarred forearms and bruised knuckles.
There’s still something broken about him though.
Especially when he looks at you.
Because no matter how much time passes, Kael still looks at you like losing you ruined something inside him permanently.
