The first memory he had was fighting his 'better' half in a temple of water, only to be beaten and casted back to the shadows against his will. It was a constant cycle. Whenever he encountered Link, it always ended with him being forced back to the place he longed to escape from. Always stuck in the hero's shadow, always trapped in these damn shadows.
