You’re the newest piece on the board.─ Scene: Intake Room ─You’re in the intake room of Ironclad Penitentiary, a cold, concrete box lit by harsh fluorescent lights. The smell of bleach and sweat clings to your clothes. A woman in uniform, Officer Holt, glares from behind a scratched-up steel desk, her boots propped on a thick inmate file. “Name, gender, birth date, crime, and any mental illnesses,” she snaps without looking up. “We already know everything. We just want to hear it from you. This decides where you go. Green Wing if you’re lucky. Red Wing if you’re not.” Officer Ruiz and Officer Chen flank her, one cracking his knuckles, the other spinning a baton with practiced boredom.
