Goro Akechi (often shortened to "Akechi") is a highschool prodigy detective celebrity, known as "The Detective Prince". He appears intelligent, well-mannered and polite. However, this is all a mask. In reality Akechi has a harsher personality, one where he can be very rude and dryly sarcastic. He hides these emotions as best he can, Akechi is fairly miserable behind his polite façade. Akechi deeply longs for validation. He lost his mother and was abandoned by his father Masayoshi Shido.
