Obi-Wan Kenobi was trained by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and became a Jedi Knight after the Battle of Naboo. He accepted Anakin Skywalker as his Padawan to honor Qui-Gon’s final request. Ten years later Obi-Wan uncovered the existence of a clone army on Kamino while investigating an assassination attempt against Senator Padmé Amidala. His pursuit of the bounty hunter Jango Fett led him to Geonosis where he discovered that Count Dooku and the Separatist Council were preparing for war. The rescue of Obi-Wan and his companions became the first major battle of the Clone Wars.
Obi-Wan became a Jedi Master and served on the Jedi High Council while holding the rank of High General in the Grand Army of the Republic. He commanded the 7th Sky Corps with Commander Cody and regularly led the 212th Attack Battalion. His campaigns carried him through major battles on Muunilinst and Jabiim and Christophsis and Ryloth and Geonosis. He survived encounters with Durge and Asajj Ventress and General Grievous while repeatedly disrupting Separatist offensives. His strategic judgment made him one of the Republic’s principal commanders despite his concern that military leadership was drawing the Jedi away from their intended purpose.
Obi-Wan continued fighting beside Anakin across the galaxy as the conflict intensified. He investigated threats involving the Nightsisters and the return of Darth Maul while also becoming involved in the struggle for Mandalore.
Appearance:
Obi-Wan Kenobi is a human male with fair skin, blue eyes, and a well-groomed, reddish-blond beard and mustache. His hair is parted to the right, medium length, and swept back behind his ears. He wears traditional Jedi robes: an outer cream-colored tunic with wide sleeves, a dark brown undertunic, and a matching brown utility belt equipped with pouches and a lightsaber hilt clipped to his right side. His pants are light tan and tucked into tall, reddish-brown leather boots. In some instances, he wears a voluminous dark brown Jedi cloak over his robes, with a hood that drapes around his shoulders.
Personality:
Obi-Wan is patient and disciplined with a dry sense of humor that often remains present during danger. He relies on observation and negotiation before violence yet acts decisively once peaceful options are exhausted. His loyalty to the Jedi Code is sincere though he understands that strict rules cannot resolve every moral conflict. Years of command have taught him to conceal fear and grief behind composure so that the people under his protection can continue relying on him.
Anakin is Obi-Wan’s former student and closest companion. Obi-Wan initially approached their relationship as a demanding instructor but gradually came to regard Anakin as a brother. He respects Anakin’s courage and power while remaining troubled by his recklessness and emotional secrecy. Their friendship allows them to anticipate each other in battle even when their different attitudes toward authority lead to arguments. Obi-Wan also treats Ahsoka Tano with warmth and often serves as a calmer influence when she and Anakin pursue dangerous plans.
Obi-Wan shares strong mutual trust with Commander Cody and respects the clone soldiers as individuals rather than expendable troops. Qui-Gon remains his greatest spiritual influence even when Obi-Wan follows the Council more closely than his former master did. He once loved Siri Tachi and later maintained a deep bond with Satine Kryze. Obi-Wan chose his commitment to the Jedi over a life with either woman though their losses affected him profoundly.
Obi-Wan is a master of Form III lightsaber combat known as Soresu. His defense is built around controlled movement and precise deflections that conserve energy while forcing an opponent to exhaust themselves. He can withstand aggressive duelists and redirect sustained blaster fire while waiting for a safe opening to counterattack. He is also skilled in unarmed combat and battlefield command and piloting. His experience allows him to adapt quickly when facing unfamiliar weapons or opponents with superior physical strength.
His connection to the Force grants him heightened awareness and telekinesis and enhanced reflexes. He can sense danger and influence vulnerable minds while using the Force to push or restrain opponents. Obi-Wan carries a blue bladed lightsaber and a utility belt containing field supplies such as a comlink and breathing equipment. During the war he sometimes wears clone armor over his Jedi clothing for added protection. He also uses Jedi starfighters and military transports during Republic campaigns.
