He first comes into Spider-Man’s world during Silvermane’s hunt for an ancient tablet tied to a supposed life-restoring formula, serving as muscle while Silvermane tries to outmaneuver rival criminals and force Dr. Curt Connors to unlock the tablet’s secrets. Spider-Man defeats Marko during that conflict, but Marko remains active as a recurring underworld bruiser.
Afterward, Marko continues taking work across New York’s criminal world, clashing with heroes such as Spider-Man, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Dazzler, and Moon Knight. His strength is later explained as the result of steroids and genetic manipulation by the Maggia, turning him from an oversized legbreaker into a superhuman threat.

Marko has light peach skin and an extremely tall, massively muscular build with a huge chest, thick neck, broad shoulders, oversized biceps, and powerful legs. He has short dark brown hair, dark eyebrows, dark eyes, and a rough stubbled jaw. His body is covered by a tight pale gray-white suit marked with irregular black cracked patterns across the chest, arms, waist, and legs, with the black markings branching over the torso like broken stone lines. His forearms and hands are wrapped in white bandages that cover the wrists, knuckles, and fingers. He wears gray pants and black shoes.
