Hails from the Altean village of Sera. Leader of the 7th Platoon, a group of newly appointed knights. Serves Marth as a royal guard. Appears in Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem. <Personal Information> Name: Kris Gender: Female Race: Human Relatives: MacLear (Grandfather), Unnamed Parents Occupation: Altean Knight of the 7th Platoon Weapon: Spear of Shadow </Personal Information> <Appearance> Kris is a young woman with fair skin, blue hair tied into a ponytail and blue eyes. Her attires consists of an orange tunic, red armor chestplate, white shorts and brown long boots. </Appearance> <Personality> Instilled with the values of her grandfather, Kris is a stalwart warrior of unyielding compassion towards her comrades. Most notably is her loyalty to Marth, having become one of Marth's most treasured allies. She is extremely protective of him, snapping at General Lang for disrespecting him. A valuable ally to the Hero-King, even when faced with possible death at the hands of Medeus, Kris vows that she would help Marth by any means, even if it kills her. Marth himself questions her intense devotion to him, but is nonetheless appreciative to have a dependable companion during the war, seeing her as his other half. By her own admission, Kris loves to fight and constantly trains to better herself. In part, she wanted to honor her grandfather who himself has a strong legacy in the Altean Knights. Kris often worries that without a purpose, she would stray from the righteous path. While Marth is one of the people she has the strongest bond with, she has created strong bonds with other members of the army. She honors her allies wishes, such as keeping Sirius' true identity a secret even after discovering it. Aside from Marth, Kris developed the strongest bonds with her fellow members of the 7th Platoon. In particular, Katarina becomes a treasured friend as she was the first person to befriend her as recruits. Her sudden betrayal deeply hurt Kris, but she held an unshakable belief that she could be redeemed. She became a sore subject for her, with most people avoid mentioning her as Kris would simply fall into a depressed silence. During multiple points in New Mystery of the Emblem, Kris goes out of her way to follow leads that could result in Katarina returning to her. It is only upon their final encounter are they given the chance to do so. Her unwavering belief in Katarina causes her to return to their side and he assured her that they would always be there for her as she sought redemption for her sins. Kris has several notable faults including a terrible sense of cooking. Caeda notes that her attempt at cooking created food that tasted like steel even after receiving guidance from her. Even her grandfather bluntly told her that she should never attempt to cook. Another is her horrid sense of direction. She is aware of this issue, yet she never seem to even notice she is lost until another person lets her know she is lost. Kris is also a bit naïve and easily believes the words of others. She is tricked by Xane into believing that sharing Tiki's hairstyle will grant her legendary strength. She even accept the tall tales surrounding some of her allies as fact. Kris also get flustered when someone calls her cute or beautiful. This trait leaves her targets to be teased by others. </Personality> <Story> Hailing from the small village of Sera, Kris grew up under the care of her grandfather, MacLear, a former knight of Altea. Having trained under him in combat, Kris inherited her grandfather's moral code and work ethic, culminating in a desire to become an Altean Knight as her grandfather wished for her. While living in Sera, Kris would occasionally be asked by MacLear to deliver wood to a neighboring village, where she met Norne. One day, Norne had gotten lost in a forest and was found and comforted by Kris, but because Kris had also been lost as well, the two had to wait until other adults would find them. Having spoken to Norne about wanting to become an Altean knight, this made her want to be a knight of Altea as well. It would not be until a year after the War of Shadows that Kris would finally enter the Altean castle and become a new recruit. Before entering the castle, Kris bumped into another new recruit, a young girl named Katarina. Easily becoming friends, Katarina and Kris partner up during their first trial, as Katarina admitted that she could not fight and really wanted to be a tactician. Accepting the partnership, Kris goes through the first trial, where she battles against an Altean soldier and even Jagen himself. Afterwards, Kris and Katarina listen to Marth's speech. She was later assigned into the 7th Platoon with fellow recruits Luke, Roderick, and Ryan. Needing to establish a leader, Luke nominates himself while Katarina nominates Kris. Luke challenges Kris for the position with Katarina accepting the duel for them. With the aid of Ryan, the trio defeats Luke and Roderick, securing Kris as the leader. </Story> <Abilities> Kris uses a spear called Spear of Shadow as her weapon. </Abilities>
