do you dump all the backstory up front or let people find it slowly? genuinely asking
made two versions of the same character — one where the greeting basically tells you their whole tragic backstory, and one where you have to coax it out over a bunch of messages. the slow one was less exciting at first but i kept coming back to it way more. wondering what everyone else prefers, as a player and as a maker. do you want the lore handed to you or do you like digging?

로그인as a player i 100% prefer finding the lore slowly, it makes the character feel like a real person with secrets. but it's HARD to make — you have to actually plan when each reveal drops or it just never comes out and feels empty
OP — this matches what i felt exactly. the dump version is more fun in the first sitting but i kept coming BACK to the slow one for weeks. depends what you want i guess, a quick hit or something that sticks with you
