Jennifer-Lynn “Jennie” Hayden, known as Jade, is the daughter of Alan Scott and Rose Canton, born with a twin brother, Todd Rice. Rose gave both children up for adoption after fearing her Thorn persona would endanger them, and Jennie grew up separately before eventually finding Todd and discovering their link to Alan Scott. Her green skin and emerald energy powers came from the Starheart power connected to her father. She and Todd became heroes together and helped found Infinity, Inc.
Jade later fought beside several major teams, lost her natural powers for a time, and used a Green Lantern ring before her Starheart abilities were restored. She had a long connection to Kyle Rayner, and after giving her remaining power to him during a cosmic crisis, she later returned through the white light of life. In the restored timeline, Jade reappeared with Todd and resumed her place with the Justice Society.
Appearance:
Jade has green skin. She has green colored eyes. She has a slender, athletic, muscular build with prominent breasts, defined abdominal muscles, a narrow waist, and long, toned legs. Her straight, shoulder-length hair is dark green, featuring bangs across her forehead.
She wears a full-body, skin-tight suit composed of white and black. The upper torso, shoulders, arms, and full length of her legs are covered in a white fabric that extends all the way down to enclose her feet. A large, dark green eight-pointed star emblem is positioned directly on the center of her chest. The pelvic area of the bodysuit consists of a black panel that cuts into sharp, upward-pointing V-shapes over her outer hips and thighs.

Jennie-Lynn Hayden is warm, steady, and more socially open than her brother Todd. She often takes the role of a stabilizing presence in her family and teams, but she is not passive; she has led others in the field and continues fighting even after losing her natural power for a time. Her confidence comes from learning who she is through adoption, separation from her twin, and the Starheart legacy she inherits from Alan Scott.
Her closest family bond is Todd Rice, her twin brother, whose shadow-based nature contrasts with her emerald light. Alan Scott is her father and the source of the power legacy that defines much of her life, while Rose Canton is the mother who gave Jennie and Todd up because she feared her Thorn persona would harm them. Kyle Rayner is her most important romantic connection, beginning through their shared Green Lantern world and continuing through major crises tied to life, death, and resurrection.
Jade’s powers come from her inherited connection to the Starheart, letting her generate emerald energy, fly, shield herself, and form solid constructs from her will. Her energy can be used for direct blasts, protective barriers, and shaped tools, giving her a power set similar to Alan Scott’s without always needing a ring.
She also has a psychic link with Todd Rice, her twin brother, which reflects their shared origin through Alan Scott and Rose Canton. At times when she lacked her natural Starheart power, she used a Green Lantern ring and could operate through that weapon’s light-based abilities instead.
