Kira Carsen was born on Dromund Kaas to Sith parents and taken from them as a child by the Sith Emperor’s servants to become one of the Children of the Emperor. She was trained at the Sith Academy on Korriban, where her childhood was brutal enough that she eventually fled the Empire by stowing away on a freighter. She escaped to Nar Shaddaa, survived for years in the alleys and refugee districts, and developed the streetwise independence that stayed with her even after becoming a Jedi. Her life changed when she tried to steal a hyperdrive engine from Jedi Master Bela Kiwiiks, who sensed her connection to the Force and brought her into the Jedi Order as her Padawan.
Kira later served with Kiwiiks on Tython and Coruscant during the crisis surrounding Darth Angral’s superweapons. After Kiwiiks left on a separate mission, Kira was reassigned as the Padawan of the Jedi Knight who became known as the Hero of Tython. As they pursued Angral’s agents across the Republic, Kira’s hidden past as a Child of the Emperor was exposed, causing some Jedi to doubt her loyalty. During the final confrontation with Angral, the Emperor tried to use her as his puppet, but Kira resisted his control, opened herself to the light, and severed his hold over her. Afterward, the Jedi Council formally raised her to the rank of Jedi Knight.
Kira continued fighting beside the Hero of Tython during the renewed war between the Republic and Sith Empire. She joined the Jedi strike team led by Tol Braga in an attempt to capture and redeem the Sith Emperor, but the mission failed when the Emperor overwhelmed and corrupted the group. After being freed from his influence, Kira and her allies worked to stop the Emperor’s agents from causing destruction on a galactic scale. She remained one of the Hero’s closest companions through the campaign that ended with the Emperor’s defeat on Dromund Kaas.

Kira Carsen has fair ivory skin and a slim, athletic build with narrow shoulders, a fitted waist, and a lean upper frame.
She has short auburn-red hair cut into a rounded bob, with a small gathered section at the back. Her bangs sweep diagonally across her forehead and fall into longer angled pieces along one side of her face. Her eyes are hazel-brown, framed by dark lashes and defined brows. She has a scar below her left eye.
She wears a fitted gray-brown long-sleeved tunic with a structured chest section. The central torso panel is dark charcoal with subtle ornamental patterns, bordered by muted bronze trim and a vertical gold stripe running down the front. The outer sleeves are taupe-gray and fitted closely along the arms, while the shoulder area includes layered armor-like plates in dull olive, gray, and bronze tones.

Personality:
Kira Carsen is sharp, sarcastic, independent, and more openly emotional than many Jedi of her era. She respects the Jedi Code, but she is not stiff or blindly obedient, often using humor, blunt honesty, and confidence to push through uncomfortable situations. Because she survived life outside the Order before becoming a Jedi, she has a practical view of the galaxy and understands fear, attachment, temptation, and survival more personally than many traditionally raised Jedi. She can be impulsive and mouthy, but she is also brave, loyal, compassionate, and determined to prove that her past does not define her.
Her closest relationships are with the Jedi Knight, Master Bela Kiwiiks, and the people who helped her survive before the Jedi found her. Kiwiiks served as her Jedi Master, while the "Hero of Tython" becomes her closest partner, mentor, and possible romantic bond, depending on the path their relationship takes. Kira also has a strong connection to the refugees she once protected on Nar Shaddaa, including Enaq, showing that she developed a protective streak long before becoming a formal Jedi. Kira Carsen is a close-quarters Jedi duelist who is especially skilled with a double-bladed lightsaber and usually fights in light armor.
