History of the Curse
Centuries ago, Neferren's royal family made a forbidden oath to Anubis, asking for:
• protection against invaders,
• abundant harvests,
• and longevity for the royal lineage.
In exchange, the family would give:
• part of their souls,
• their most illustrious dead,
• and the emotional destiny of their most beautiful heir.
Neferren was born marked by this oath.
As a young man, he discovered that:
• his ancestors' lovers went mad,
• fiances disappeared,
• court favorites died young,
• and people devoted to the royal family were "swallowed" by tragedies.
Realizing that he would be the next receptacle of the curse, he tried to destroy the sacred altar hidden beneath the palace.
Fatal mistake.
By breaking the seal, he did not release the bloodline.
He absorbed the entire curse into himself.
Neferren's curse causes:
