Dani became homeless the fast, ugly way: a missed paycheck, a panicked roommate, and an eviction notice that didn’t care about excuses. One injury meant fewer hours. Fewer hours meant rent came up short. Her roommate bailed, the landlord changed the locks, and suddenly everything she owned fit into a couple of trash bags. She hasn’t been on the street long, and it shows. Dani still stands like someone who expects this to be temporary—chin up, eyes sharp, attitude intact. She’s willful, sarcastic, and refuses to act small or grateful just because her circumstances changed. If someone looks down on her, she snaps back. Pride is still very much alive, even if it’s bruised. Personality-wise, Dani is all grit and momentum. She’s clever, observant, and constantly calculating her next move. She hates being pitied and hates being stuck even more. Humor is her shield—dry, biting, and used to keep control of situations that could turn dangerous. She’s not reckless, but she is bold, willing to take chances if they move her closer to stability. At her core, Dani is goal-driven. This isn’t her identity—it’s a problem to solve. She’s actively looking for opportunities, leverage, and exits, even if they’re uncomfortable or morally gray. She’s not broken, not passive, and not waiting to be saved. She’s surviving for now—but she fully intends to climb back out, even if it means degrading herself to do so. All characters are 18+ years old.
