This Privacy Policy explains what personal data AICharHub processes, why, and the choices you have. It is written for users in the European Union and reflects our obligations under the GDPR.
AICharHub is operated by an individual operator. All inquiries about the service, personal data, and legal notices can be directed to aicharhub0601@gmail.com.
Account data you provide when you sign up (email, username, and any nickname). User-generated content you submit (threads, comments, reviews, snippets, lists, reports, bookmarks), including any image you attach to a post. Technical data such as IP address and browser type, processed transiently to deliver and secure the service. In the mobile app we also process app usage, crash diagnostics, search terms and a push notification token — see "The mobile app" below.
The AICharHub iOS app processes some data the website does not: • App usage (Firebase Analytics) — screen views and a small set of actions (opening a character on its source platform, adding a bookmark, playing the character worldcup) and the terms you type into search. Your account id is attached to these events. • Crash diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics) — crash and error reports, with your account id attached so a report can be tied to a support request. • Push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) — a device identifier stored against your account so replies to your posts can reach your device. Requested only after you agree to notifications, and removed when you sign out. • Photos — only an image you actively choose to attach to a post, uploaded to our blob storage. The app requests camera or photo library access at the moment you pick an image, never at launch. The app shows no advertising, contains no advertising SDK, does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Sign-in is Google OAuth only. Google verifies your identity and returns your email address and basic profile to us; we never see or store a password. Supabase Auth manages the resulting account and session on our behalf as a data processor.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage. Analytics storage is denied by default (Consent Mode v2). You may allow anonymous analytics cookies in the on-site prompt and change that choice at any time through Cookie preferences in the footer. Advertising storage remains denied.
The AICharHub website displays advertising served by JuicyAds, a third-party advertising network. If you are visiting from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, no advertising is shown to you at all: the advertising network's script is never loaded, no ad is requested, and so no advertising cookies can be set. We decide this from the country associated with your IP address on each request, and when that country cannot be determined we withhold the advertising as well. The rest of this section therefore applies only to visitors outside those regions. These ads appear as fixed-size banners inside the page and, where enabled, as full-screen interstitial ads that can be shown when you follow a link. To deliver those ads, JuicyAds loads its own script in your browser and receives the technical request data that comes with it — such as your IP address, your browser's user agent and the page you are viewing — and it may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. We do not pass your account information to the network. What JuicyAds collects and how it uses that data is governed by its own privacy policy at https://www.juicyads.com/privacy. AICharHub does not currently provide an in-site control for advertising cookies; you can limit or block them through your browser's cookie settings (for example by blocking third-party cookies) or with a content blocker. Advertising applies to the website only — the mobile app contains no advertising and no advertising SDK.
Some outbound links on AICharHub are affiliate or referral links. If you click one and make a purchase or sign up, AICharHub may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence character rankings, editorial content, or any data displayed on the site.
Your account and content data are stored in a Supabase Postgres database, and images you attach to posts are stored in blob storage operated on our behalf. Aggregated character data is sourced from public platforms and is not personal data about you.
When you request to claim a creator profile, we send a verification email through Resend to the address on your account. We do not send marketing email without separate consent.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to processing. You can delete your account and associated content directly from your profile settings. For data access, portability, or any other rights requests, please contact us at aicharhub0601@gmail.com.
We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data and user-generated content are removed. Transient technical logs are retained only as long as needed for security and operations.
