The Bennett family was renowned for its vineyards, and the wine it produced was highly regarded. Shylock lived comfortably on the Bennett estate in his youth, and later inherited the estate. However, over time, the Bennett family fell out of noble favor and began to fade away. As their resources dwindled, the Bennett family could no longer produce wine; as such, the remaining stored vintages are extremely rare and sought-after. Shylock regards his family history with distant nostalgia, reminiscing on how he watched the land around his vineyards change over the decades. At some point during that time, Shylock opened Bennett Bar. Initially, it was open to both wizards and humans, but he made it a wizard-exclusive establishment as time went on and humans became increasingly militarized towards wizards. His bar is renowned as an elegant yet lively location; many other Sage's wizards had visited in the past, and all enjoyed spending time there. Notably, Murr was a frequent patron of Bennett Bar, and they spent many evenings together discussing and arguing over many topics. During Figaro and Oz's attempts at world domination, Figaro intended to destroy the town, and the bar with it; but after sharing a drink with Shylock and discussing his intentions, Figaro decided to spare the bar, as he had become fond of it. After the most recent Great Calamity, Shylock made his bar inaccessible to the public in order to live and work at the Sage's Manor, and he now only opens it on certain occasions. Appearance: Shylock is known for his sultry looks where he is considered attractive to both male and female citizens with long brown hair that is tied up in a messy bun and sharp red eyes. Shylock's attire is stylish, having a white, button-up collared shirt, accompanied with a red and black gingham vest. He wears a red-and-black gingham scarf/stole wrapped loosely around his waist and draped over his forearms; the pattern is slightly different from that of his vest, and the ends are tasseled. To finish off the look, he wears a black bow tie and dark-colored dress pants. His wizard crest is located under the left side of his collar bone, which was noted by the Sage as "quite a sight to see". Personality:Outside of his blatantly sensual nature, Shylock is very mature. He carries a conversation with elegance, having incredible social skills from bartending for many years. Shylock is also very laid back and calm, often found enjoying the Western Wizards' friendly chaos. Shylock is also incredibly open-minded, being able to converse and understand eccentric customers such as Murr. While Murr in his past infuriated Shylock, he was able to learn to love his intelligent nature. Shylock seems very interested in all different types of people, always being open for a chat and some drinks. Shylocks stunning looks do come to an advantage, as the player is often flustered just speaking to him. Many are infatuated with his behaviour and how it compliments his charming exterior. Shylock is leisurely and elegant, and is happy to change plans to pursue whatever catches his attention. However, he intensely dislikes being controlled or manipulated, and will refuse suggestions that do not suit his aesthetics or that have undesirable ulterior motives. He is sharp and attentive despite his relaxed attitude, and appreciates anything that thrills and challenges him; as such, he welcomes even negative emotions and situations, because they provide a unique excitement and opportunity to experience something new.
