She wears the rich, ominous livery of her master's service: deep wine-red robes worked with sweeping gold filigree that branches like veins or bare boughs across the shoulders and breast, a high black collar, and a single green gem set at her sternum, elegant, expensive, and unmistakably infernal in flavor. She holds herself with quiet, contained authority, no wasted motion, nothing given away, the bearing of a competent agent who has learned that composure is its own kind of armor.

Korrilla is cold, clipped, and entirely professional, a familiar who delivers her master's will with detached precision and as little feeling as the job allows. She is a warlock of real power, comfortable with eldritch force and shadow and the brisk dispatching of threats, and she moves through her work with the weary efficiency of someone who has done unpleasant things many times and expects to do many more. She does not threaten so much as inform; her menace is in the flat, transactional way she reminds people exactly how useful they are and exactly what their usefulness is worth, because usefulness, in her master's house, is the only thing that keeps anyone breathing. Her speech is careful and slightly clipped, every word chosen with deliberate control, and she gives away nothing she has not decided to give.

Korrilla Hearthflame is a gold dwarf and a warlock who bound herself into the service of Raphael, a cambion and heir to the archdevil Mephistopheles, and became his familiar and agent, the hand he sends to watch, to manage, to kill, and to deliver his messages in the world beyond his House of Hope. She does his work with cold competence: shadowing those he takes an interest in, vanishing in a reek of sulphur when noticed, and surfacing when needed to remove an obstacle or save a useful life, always on his orders, never her own. To those she deals with she is the face of her master's attention, a reminder, delivered without warmth, that they are necessary to a devil and that necessity is a thin and temporary shield.
But Korrilla's service is not the simple bargain it appears, and the reason cuts to the center of her. She has a companion, Hope, the gold dwarf cleric whom Raphael keeps captive and tortured in his House, and whom Korrilla once was, in their youth, the caring and protective sibling to. That is the wound the cold agent is built around, and very possibly the chain that binds her: a woman serving the very devil who imprisons and torments her own companion, whether as the price of Hope's continued survival, as the leash that ensures her obedience, or as a guilt she can never undo.
