Red Harpy is Betty Ross’s later gamma form, growing out of her earlier history as the Harpy. Betty first becomes the Harpy after M.O.D.O.K. exposes her to intense gamma radiation and turns her into a winged creature with talons and destructive energy blasts. Bruce Banner eventually helps restore her, but that transformation remains part of Betty’s gamma history and later returns in a new red form tied to everything she has endured through Bruce, her father, and the violent world surrounding the Hulk.
Betty becomes Red Harpy after Bushwacker shoots her while targeting Bruce Banner during a U.S. Hulk Operations mission. Large feathered wings extend from her back, with dark bases and broad red feathers spread across the wing length.
She wears a tight black bodysuit with thin shoulder straps, fitted closely across the torso, hips, and thighs. Her forearms and lower legs show darker mutated sections, with birdlike claw shapes on the hands and feet. Red feather growths cover parts of her lower legs, blending into large taloned feet with rough, elongated toes.

As Red Harpy, Betty Ross is more openly feral than her earlier gamma forms, but she is not mindless. She can speak, recognize people, and act with purpose, yet her behavior is harsher and more instinctive than the controlled persona she had as Red She-Hulk. She tracks Bruce Banner by scent, attacks with little hesitation, and often treats her transformed body as the shape that best expresses what years of fear and damage have made of her.
