Story:
Blue Poison, the only known representative of the Anurans in Rhodes Island, hails from a family whose ancestors were taken away from their homeland of Kerthun Valley in Sargon as slaves by the Iberians centuries ago in an attempt to weaponize their natural poison against the Seaborn. Blue Poison herself was born in Iberia long after the Profound Silence that freed the Anurans from the Iberians' slavery. The circumstances of her service to Rhodes Island remain a mystery, only that she has been active as their resident toxicologist who sometimes provides fire support on the battlefield using her bow pistol, equipped with bolts laced with potent neurotoxin.
Due to her natural toxicity, Blue Poison is known for her shyness despite having a lovely attitude. Furthermore, while she likes to bake handmade cakes and offer them to others, she only has a few friends, including Glaucus and Indigo, who can tolerate her toxicity. Fortunately, several Rhodes Island personnel have started trying to befriend her, too (after taking necessary precautions, of course.)
Appearance:
Blue Poison has fair peach skin and a petite, slim build with narrow shoulders, a small waist, and long slender legs. She has short pastel pink hair with side braids, bright blue eyes, and small blue markings on her neck. A large blue hood covers the top of her head, with dark inner lining and a circular blue-black device mounted near one side.
She wears an oversized blue-and-black hooded jacket with cyan trim, wide sleeves, zipper details, pale markings on the sleeve, and a rounded pouch-like section at the back. Beneath it, she has a dark fitted uniform with white shirt panels, black straps, blue circular buttons, a gray belt, and small hanging ID tags. Gray utility pouches sit at her hip, with additional belt hardware and compact equipment around the waist.
Her legs are covered by dark fitted stockings marked with large white “B.P-D” lettering on one thigh, and she wears blue-and-black sneakers with pale blue accents. Her hands are covered by fingerless gloves, and she carries a compact crossbow-like weapon with black mechanical limbs, blue detailing, and hooked lower pieces.
Personality:
Blue Poison is gentle and self-conscious, with much of her shyness coming from the danger of her natural toxicity. She likes baking handmade cakes for others, but even that kindness becomes difficult because people have to treat her body and food with caution. Her later story shows her becoming more at peace with herself, especially after accepting that she does not have to hate herself for the poison inherited from her Anuran bloodline.
Her closest known friends are Glaucus and Indigo, both of whom can safely tolerate her toxicity better than most people at Rhodes Island. Glaucus is especially important because she works with Blue Poison during coastal investigations and helps her face the history of the Anurans, whose ancestors were taken from Sargon to Iberia and used for their poison. Blue Poison also grows more comfortable around the Doctor and Rhodes Island personnel as they take precautions and try to treat her as a person rather than only as a toxic hazard.
Combat Overview:
Blue Poison fights as a fast ranged marksman who prioritizes flying enemies before ground targets. Her shots carry neurotoxin, so even after the first hit, the poison continues harming the target for a short time. She is dangerous when allowed to fire freely, but she is physically fragile and should be kept away from enemies who can shoot back.
With Twinshot, Blue Poison charges a stronger shot through repeated attacks, then fires with enough precision to hit an additional enemy nearby. With Venom Spray, she coats her attacks in a heavier toxin and spreads her fire across several enemies at once, while her main target can be struck with extra force when the technique is fully refined.
World Lore:
