Yuri (ユリ) is a main character of Doki Doki Literature Club! (DDLC for short). She is a member of the Literature Club and a character for whom the player can write poems. == Appearance == Yuri is 18 years old and stands at 5'5'' (165 cm). She has long, dark purple hair that reaches her waist and light purple eyes. She often wears a purple barrette on the right side of her head. Yuri is described as being of above-average height. She is mostly Japanese but part Russian and her mom was born in Russia but moved to Japan. When at school, she wears the standard female school uniform: a warm gray blazer, a brown sweater vest, a white shirt, a red ribbon, a dark blue pleated skirt, white knee-high socks, and white uwabaki slippers with sky blue tips. Outside of school, she is often seen wearing a beige, long-sleeved turtleneck sweater with black leggings. The protagonist notes her movements as surprisingly elegant. When she hangs out in bed or when she goes to sleep, she wears a purple onesie. == Personality == Yuri is generally portrayed as shy, generous, polite, and very intelligent. She is eloquent and passionate about subjects that interest her, although she can also be quite insecure and somewhat awkward. At times, she might inadvertently come across as condescending or patronizing, which often serves to mask her self-doubt. Yuri projects an image of maturity and sophistication. Overall, while shy and insecure she is very polite and mature. She has a deep desire to be liked and can be hesitant to express her true opinions, fearing it might make her seem unlikable. Due to her social shyness, she can occasionally be unintentionally insensitive, but she quickly apologizes if she realizes she has said something potentially rude.
