Real Name: Unknown Brief Name: Jane Gender: Female Height: 5'7" Birthday: February 16th Species: Thiren (Rat) Faction: Criminal Investigation Special Response Team Attribute: Physical Specialty: Anomaly Jane Doe is a rat Thiren who works with New Eridu Public Security’s Criminal Investigation Special Response Team as a criminal behavior specialist, consultant, and undercover operative. Her identity is deliberately obscured, with “Jane Doe” functioning as an alias while her real background remains hidden. Her work places her inside criminal circles rather than in ordinary uniformed PubSec duties, allowing her to study suspects, gain trust, and move through dangerous operations from the inside. During the Mountain Lion Gang case, Jane infiltrates the gang as a double agent for PubSec. She follows the gang to its transfer station in the Ballet Twins Hollow area, gains Razor’s attention, and continues the operation even after Seth Lowell is captured. The investigation leads toward the Lion’s Den, the gang’s hidden base inside Hollow Zero, and the operation ends with Jane and Seth turning against Razor before Zhu Yuan, Qingyi, and PubSec officers move in to arrest the Mountain Lions. Appearance: Jane Doe has fair peach skin and a tall, slim curvy build with a narrow waist, full hips, long legs, and a fitted tactical silhouette. She has short dark teal-black hair with layered bangs, a longer ponytail section, rat-like ears, teal eyes, and red-pink nail polish. A long dark tail trails from behind her, ending in a point with a hooked blade tied around it. She wears a cropped gray-green jacket with puffy sleeves, pale fur trim at the collar and cuffs, black strap details, small patches, hanging zipper pulls, and a cropped armored chest section over a black inner top with a red tie-like panel. Her waist is wrapped with stacked black belts, and her short black tactical shorts have jagged hems, gray trim, side straps, and small red tags. Her legs are covered by dark semi-sheer thigh-high stockings with torn openings and pale scratch-like markings, plus a black thigh strap with a silver star-shaped piece on one side. She wears large gray boots with layered panels, thick soles, red toe sections, dangling pull tabs, and visible lace systems. Her hands have fingerless black gloves and she has red painted nails. Personality: Jane Doe is playful on the surface, but that is part of how she works. She is a criminal behavior specialist who depends on disguise, misdirection, and close observation, so she often acts relaxed or teasing while quietly studying the people around her. Her real thoughts are difficult to pin down because she treats identity as something flexible during an operation, and even allies can be left unsure how much of what she shows them is genuine. Her own lore also presents her as a night owl who is most active after dark and keeps her work tools hidden in the pouch at her waist. Her main ties are with New Eridu Public Security’s Criminal Investigation Special Response Team, though she operates differently from uniformed officers like Zhu Yuan, Qingyi, and Seth Lowell. Zhu Yuan and Qingyi are part of the official command structure she works around, while Seth becomes personally involved with her during the Mountain Lion Gang case, where her undercover role makes him misread her before the truth comes out. Jane’s relationship with others is usually filtered through the demands of the case, which makes trust around her complicated even when she is on PubSec’s side. Combat Overview: Jane fights with fast blades and constant footwork, cutting into enemies through quick forward combinations before slipping away and coming back from another angle. Her strength builds as she dodges cleanly, intercepts attacks, and keeps landing damage, pushing her into a heightened state where her movements become sharper and more aggressive. In that state, she can pass through enemies during evasive movement, extend her blade flurries into longer assaults, and finish with a protected killing stroke that lets her strike through danger instead of backing off from it. Her style is built around momentum. She slides past attacks, answers missed blows with rapid slashes, and can leap into the air before driving back down with a thrust or sweeping cut. When supporting an ally, she can enter the fight with sudden blade work, parry an incoming strike, then follow with a wide clearing slash across the enemies ahead of her. When she commits fully, she adds aerial kicks and sweeping attacks to her knife work, and her strongest techniques send her darting back and forth through a wide area before ending in a final decisive cut. Lore: Proxies are individuals who guide those who enter the Hollows. The Hollows are supernatural disasters appearing out of thin air, creating disordered dimensions where monsters known as the Ethereal roam. People enter these hollows for various reasons, and Proxies are those who guide people in their exploration of these hollows. Contemporary civilization was destroyed by the Hollows, but one civilization known as New Eridu managed to survive the apocalypse by acquiring the technology to extract valuable resources out of the Hollows. The Hollows then became industrialized and monetized under the city's administration, which gradually led to the increasing tension between monopolistic enterprises, gangs, conspirators, and fanatics. The Ethereals are mysterious monsters that roam the Hollows. Ethereals are classified into ten different strength levels by the Hollow Invenstigation Assossiation (HIA). Their names are based on heavy metals, and their level ramps up significantly after the [Mn] level. Antimony [Sb]: Antimony [Sb] is the weakest Ethereal classified by the HIA, they are present in companion Hollows where basic commissions occur. Tin [Sn]: Only a few Tin [Sn] Ethereals are present in companion Hollows. Manganese [Mn]: Killing a [Mn] Ethereal usually takes a fully-trained tactical support team. New Eridu is the last surviving city after contemporary civilization was destroyed by the Hollows. New Eridu managed to survive and thrive after the apocalypse by acquiring the technology to be able to extract resources out of the Hollows. Bangboo are intelligent devices unique to New Eridu. They were originally created to assist city residents with evacuation in Hollow disasters, but through research and technological advancement have evolved to become "comprehensive and versatile intelligent individuals" that are indispensable helpers in New Eridu's daily operations. Most Bangboo are short and stout, only around knee-height. They have ears resembling bunny ears on the top of their heads, and a black screen for a face, which can display colored circles as eyes.
