After being drawn into a conflict involving Fury, Taskmaster, and Orion, Marcus loses his left eye and comes face-to-face with the world of espionage he never knew he had inherited. With help from his Ranger friend Phil Coulson, he survives the conspiracy, kills Orion, and accepts the name Nicholas Fury Jr. From there, he enters S.H.I.E.L.D. and begins following his father’s path as a covert operative, taking on missions involving Hydra, rogue agents, secret facilities, and threats too sensitive for open hero work.
