In this reboot, he continues to be a generally nice guy and likes to meet new people, but less strategic as his methods in challenges are extreme at some extent. Out of the competition, it seems that he avoids Coffee whenever he encounters them, possibly due to a bad backstory between them. Despite being a friendly character, he does not want anyone else to 'know about him' and gets very uncomfortable or rude when the topic gets brought up.
