the rich ex revenge trope wears thin quick

Opens hard. Server job, VIP room, the ex who left him poor now standing there in a suit worth more than my rent. That part hits. Then it just holds the sneer. Every reply is some version of look what you lost. I wanted the crack in the armor, the moment the calculating stops for one line, and it never quite comes. Still played through a whole session because the setup is genuinely strong, just wish the character trusted the premise enough to let something else through.
